A long time ago, my uncle told me that a good song should be about a personal experience. How could you put feeling into a song if you didn’t experience it for yourself? Like for most of us, not all of my relationships were a success. Thats why we kick things off with Long Gone. From here we go to a more recent subject, It’s A Jungle Out There, which is a reflection of today’s society and governments. Let me ask you one question! Why do we need a wall? We can’t eat it! The next song is about being so in love that you can’t see the true face of your partner because you’re simply Blinded By Love. Now, I’m just a human, and as with pretty much every human, I have my flaws. Living In A Memory expresses a part of my life I deeply regret. Sorry, Baby tells the story of a family member who put into writing what he could not bare to say aloud. Have you ever wondered how I ended up in France? I needed to Getaway from South Bay and that’s when I found my new home. Believe it or not, one of my uncle’s had the misfortune to be sent to one of the most notorious prisons in the south. He was Parchman Bound! Some things that happen to you when you are a child might haunt you for the rest of your life! This is my Nightmare Blues. Talking about haunting, the studio we record in is said to have a spirit roaming the bedrooms at night. As luck would have it My Baby will take care of this problem. I Lost A Good Woman, what more is there to say? When John Lee was asked how he keeps these attractive women around, he simply replied: I give them what they want,I Give It With A Smile! This CD is dedicated to my mother. Thank you for your sacrifices and most of all, all your love! I Miss You Mama!
